Voices Aloud
Northamptonshire's Charity Show Choir
A Little About Us
In November 2009 Hughie James together with the late Jenny Barford put into action a long held ambition
of setting up a choir for anyone who wanted to sing regardless of age, previous experience or ability.

Voices Aloud is a mixed group of about 40 singers from all walks of life, with ages ranging from 20 to 75.
It’s a contemporary choir able to sing and perform songs from the sixties to this present day.
Repertoire includes songs from Michael Jackson, Abba, Queen, as well as songs from West End Shows,
Sister Act, Grease, Les Miserables and Chicago as well as many pop classics.
The choir is directed by professional musical director Hughie James and managed by his sister Margaret James.
We are also very fortunate to have Dave Clarke as our sound and lighting technician.
Voices Aloud has been very succesful winning many awards including BBC Choir Of The Day.
The choir continues to be active raising funds for numerous local charities, churches and worthy causes.
Voices Aloud has become over the years more than just a choir, it's become very much like a large family who are both caring and supportive of each other.
Voices Aloud has become over the years more than just a choir, it's become very much like a large family who are both caring and supportive of each other.
Being a member of this choir requires huge commitment and dedication,
to be able to attend rehearsals every Monday and the odd Thursday and time spent practising at home.
No audition is required to join the choir, but it is essential that new members are able to sing in tune.
